Deborah knew someday she would find a use for an old pair of doll shoes inherited from her mother. Maybe she would find another doll, but she didn't particularly collect dolls. Finally she hung them on the wall with her collection of family photos and a few old keys. She lined them with a lovely calico print from an old dress she didn't need anymore. They will be her reminder of another generation when dolls didn't speak, when children didn't watch tv and the best time of day was when ma brought lemonade to the garden in a tiny china tea set.
